The beautiful and serene Riad Kasbah had me feeling like I was alone in the desert even though I was in the heart of vibrant Marrakech and less than a mile from its' most popular attractions like the souks, Saadiens Tombs, upscale restaurants, highly recommended cafes, and the Koutoubia Mosque & Esplanade.

In the middle of the medina, I immersed myself in culture and indulged myself in luxury at one of the top riads in Marrakech.

Although you’re in the center of it all, you’ll feel like you’re in an exclusive resort. Find your way to Riad Kasbah by entering any of the 10 gates to the historic medina and following the main road to the center.

Make your way through the crowd through the narrow streets and down an alley, and there you’ll find an ornate red door that separates the bustle of the market from the serene hotel awaiting you.

Just beyond the front desk and helpful concierge, you’ll find an open-air courtyard with a patio, pristine pool, and a traditional Moroccan living room. There are complimentary mats, towels, and even hats available while you lounge by the pool.  

Just a few steps up a spiral staircase, you'll find a rooftop terrace. The terrace boasts a stunning view of the Atlas Mountains on one side and a mosque on the other.

Riad Kasbah offers several traditional hammam experiences, as well as many other beauty and spa services. We felt like kings and queens with the royal hammam treatment and in-room couple’s massage after our long day of seeing the sights and strolling through the souks.

The in-house restaurant serves a complimentary breakfast every day, complete with hot and cold beverages, Moroccan pastries, and the option of an omelet made to your taste, as well as lunch and an early dinner, should you choose to stay in. The food was delicious and solidified my growing love for Moroccan Nana (mint) Tea.

Marrakech Museum

Room after room and courtyard after courtyard, you’ll be captivated by all of the vibrant colors, native objects and artifacts, and historic architecture that is unique to Morocco. With no shortage of Instagram-able spots around every corner, this spot is a must-see and should top your "things to do" in Marrakech list.

El Mouassine Mosque

With the largest fountain in Marrakech and an extravagant minaret, this architectural jewel will catch your eye from any point in the city.

The Medina and Souk

Perusing the market might be your first thought when you arrive in Marrakech, but give yourself plenty of time to shop the hundreds of stalls filled with oils, spices, and authentic hand-crafted goods.

I was impressed by the hospitality from beginning to the end. We only had a short time in Marrakech before we left for Agadir, and the staff was so helpful with suggestions, sightseeing route tips, and directions so that we could fit everything into our busy day. They were even accommodating by allowing us to schedule our spa experience later that day. It was truly a stress-free and luxurious experience in every way.
