Fan > You won't bust a sweat if you've got a personal hand fan, and this one is portable & lightweight. Plus it's a charger! All you need in one place. It especially came in handy when it got steamy on the dance floors at our favorite fetes.

Sunscreen > You may not think you'll need it, but you'll need it. And this brand is my go-to! You will burn if you spend the day in the sun without protection... even if it's a short amount of time, but especially if it's overcast. Don't be fooled, you will burn then, too!

I've spent a lot of time in the sun and I am serious about sunscreen on this face!

.

.

Rum > Bands often offer drinks on the road at the drink trucks but sometimes the line is long & they're not open until later in the day. Don't be shy about giving yourself a little morning boost!

.

Money > When you're planning a carnival trip, you're gonna have to put money up for the little things (treats, drinks, souvenirs) and the big things (airfare, accommodations, transportation, etc) so be prepared with cash in hand for tips & other things that might spring up!

.

Passport & Visas > Just a reminder to never leave home and travel abroad without the necessary travel documents.

Waterproof Phone Pouch > I always have one because you never know when you're going to find yourself in a situation where your phone might get wet, muddy, or chocolatey (especially at jouvert). Plus it's good for a hands-free experience and it's easliy accessible if you need it for a quick pic!

.

Old clothes > Stuff that you don't mind getting dirty & possibly throwing away after the paint or chocolate jouvert party!
.

Head wraps > Something to wrap your hair to protect & preserve it from getting painted or destroyed before the next day - Carnival Monday.

.
