Where to Stay in South Beach

South Beach Group Hotels

We stayed at the Riviera Hotel & Suites and loved it, but you can rest your head at any of the many South Beach Group boutique hotels and feel like you're in paradise while you're in Miami for vacation. They're a whole vibe all on their own.

Their hotels are swimming in luxury. And they even encourage their guests to "hotel hop" and enjoy happy hour with complimentary cocktails every night at any of their properties. That alone is worth a stay!

Freehand Hostel

Freehand Miami offers a variety of room options, from dorm-style, quads, suites to bungalows. You'll be sure to enjoy the Miami nights and meet fellow travelers at this ultra-hip hostel. Plus, it has one of the best poolside bars in all South Beach.

Faena Hotel

If you've got a special occasion to celebrate or you just want to treat yo'self, then stay at the Faena Hotel. This 5* hotel is luxurious, yet charming, exclusive and right in the middle of the action!

Hanging Out in South Beach

Lincoln Road Mall

You'll find hot Miami styles and hundreds of your favorite shops and restaurants lined in a row waiting for you to pop in and browse. This mile long mall has plenty of sidewalk Miami cafes and an upbeat vibe, you'll want to come back just to see the people-watch and see the scene come alive at night.

Collins and Washington Avenue keep the shopping fun going with more boutiques to choose from in South Beach.

Ocean Drive

It's the place to see and be seen in the South Beach. Miami's art district has a front-row seat to art deco design and a stunning view of the beach. That's why Ocean Drive's restaurants, clubs, and shops stay busy with people day and night. It's the hub of Miami's nightlife, and Versace's Mansion is right there, so you know you're in the lap of luxury!

Miami and Beaches

The water is near perfect year-round and the more north you go on the shore, the cleaner and quieter the beach scene. Lay in the sun, rent a bike and ride, or just go for a stroll enjoying the breeze, but you'll find that Miami Beach has so many things to do!

Food & Drinks

Taco Tuesday

Make it a long weekend and stop by some of the most popular restaurants on a Tuesday to get an authentic taste of Latin cuisines and see what Miami is known for!

Coyo Taco: A short walk from the Wynwood Walls, this place hit the spot. Often regarded as the best taco spot in Miami, have a good ol' pastor taco or try a gourmet charred octopus taco, either way, it's unparalleled.

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila: You got the best of both worlds... a great dine-in experience at a taco truck! And if you go at night, the urinal-turned-speakeasy-entrance will transport you to a live music bar.

.

Head over to Lincoln Road for a Happy Hour scene like no other. From 3 - 7pm nightly, you'll find a restaurant or bar offering specially priced food and drinks! Some places even have a late night happy hour.

City Bus Tour

A city tour is the best way to get to know a new place. You can see the sights then decide where you want to spend the rest of your time exploring!

Calle Ocho in Little Havana

Grab a strong cup of Cuban coffee and feel the rhythm of Miami Little Havana. Head over to Calle Ocho where you can play a game at Domino Park, stop in a cigar shop, dance to live music, and immerse yourself in Latin cultural celebrations.

Wynwood Walls

Don't miss the bright colors and cool vibe of Wynwood. Visionary Tony Goldman curated a space where walls are clothed in murals and street art is celebrated. If you're a street art aficionado like me, then you'll roam the streets basking in their beauty and Instagrammable spots for hours.

Celebrity House Boat Tour

Cruise Biscayne Bay while taking in the downtown Miami skyline and Star Island. Someone told me that in the summertime you might even see DJ Khaled riding a jet ski in front of Diddy's 19,500 square foot mansion. I'm not sure how much of that to believe, but I'm a sucker for weekend boat trips, mansions, and the prospect of a celebrity sighting!

Miami Everglades Tour

Don't pass up the chance to take an Everglades airboat ride where you'll get your fill of unique wetlands and exotic wildlife as you speed through Florida's "river of grass". You'll experience the unforgettable sights and sounds of a fierce ecosystem.
